This is a Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle for FS2002

The F-15E Strike Eagle is a dual-role fighter designed to perform air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. An array of avionics and electronics systems gives the F-15E the capability to fight at low altitude, day or night, and in inclement weather and perform its primary function as an air-to-ground attack aircraft.(USAF Fact Sheet)

It features moving ailerons, elevators, flaps, gears, engine nozzles, pilot and rotating wheels, night lighting. I have put in maximum effort to make this F-15E look as real as possible. Weapons on board include the Aim-9 Sidewinder, Aim-120 AMRAAM, MK-82 500lb low-drag bombs, as well as 600gl Drop tanks. Air file specially edited by Krazy to include true FS2k2 Afterburner effects.

Based on my original F-15C, This F-15E is not just a re-paint of my original F-15C. It is almost a completely different plane, Using only bits and pieces of the original F-15C. Added conformal tanks, Larger gears, fixed the "Gas-torch" afterburners, Added the WSO office, And a better virtual cockpit.

Built By Kotaro Akikawa (Bonzonie)

This package is the outcome of months of hard work. Sometimes discouraging it seemd like I was getting nowhere, Sometimes too fun the hours seem to flash past. Either way, it would not have been possible without the special help and patience from these talented people. I thank you all who has helped me.

This package is theirs as much as it is mine. I thank you all again!

Enough of the bickering, Here is a list of the special people who kept on supporting me throughout this long & difficult project. (In alphabetical order)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---Butch2K
Butch2k has a special site now open that focuses on warfare of all ages from the medevil times to the high-tech victory of the Gulf war. I have asked questions too numorous to count about techincal aspects of the F-15E. I probably riddled his forums with some dumb questions! Get to his excellent site by going below to the links section.

---Doug Attrell
Doug has made the awesome F-15C DP file for me. I just took his original DP and edited the hardpoints for the new bombs. Most of the hard work in the DP was done by notepad and patience by Doug Attrell. You should think of the DP being made by Doug entirely. He has also helped me fix a problem with the weapon BGLs. It was a very frustruating problem which seemed it would not go away. But when I asked to Doug about it, He came up with the answer a few minuets later.... (It took me 2 days to think what was up and I still couldn't solve it!)

---Dwight "Blades" Booth
He helped me solve a problem with the Virtual cockpit. Very talented, You should check his Choppers! They are excellent! True works of a genius! Also helped me get over the "PHSYCO POLY" along with "Inspector Poly"

---Felix J. Rodriguez
Special thanks to Felix for his special "Inspector Poly" remarks. The F-15E has had tons of problems, A few of them concerning polygons, and Felix has helped me with a few other talented designers at different forums to override the problems.

---Jamal Ingram
He is currently working on a few projects of his own. These include F-16 Block-40s, B-2A Spirits, And a B-1B for all those Bone fans out there ;). This time, He allowed me to attach his excellent looking LANTIRN pods to the underside of my F-15E. Those are the little pods under each intake that serve as navigation and targeting pods. You can expect his aircraft to be of the same high-quality his LANTIRN pods are.

---Krazy
Krazy helped me fix up problems with the DP file (Problems I created myself when I "added" lines). He is excellent at making DP files, And his work is also included in the VB planes. On this occasion, He went as far as editing the aircraft.cfg file to fix up problems. The afterburners included on this air file is his work. Tons of thanks from me to him on this one.

---Paul Schwerdtfeger
Creator of the excellent F-15 panel included in this package. He creates panels of miliraty aircraft for FS98 & FS2k2. You can check out his other high-quality panels at his site. Link included at the bottom

---Pete Daly
Founder of simviation.com and also a designer himself. Excellent site and undoubtably a must-have.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also lots of thanks to all of the Beta testers who helped me debug this plane.

There are tons of others who kindly pointed me to the right way at various forums, via E-mail, And sometimes chat. I may have missed somebody to include in this list, But you are all not forgotten. I am deeply sorry if I ever forget to write one of you down.

Thank you all!

Known bug list

-Main gears "stick" out of the gear bays. I've tried fixing this, But it just made the plane look bad.
-Bomb positions may be a little off.
-DVC is not finished yet. There are many problems yet to be solved and the DVC wasn't able to make it for this version. I will post an update as soon as I can get it working.

That's all I know of...

Flight

In FS2002, There is a key already assigned to the Re-heat option. It is "Shift+F4" by default. Once you use it, there will be a visible change in increase in airspeed (Or decrease for that matter). Pressing the A/B key once will toggle it on, Pressing it again will toggle it off. I was not able to tie it together to the A/B effect though.
